Yes, I don’t think you can reconstruct raw data from ML output. But it could be that the efficacy AI today (derived from big data) is spooking the hell out of common folks. For years the Chinese were happy to give away some personal data for free apps. Now they are finally getting really concerned because of the number of CCTV in China (2.2m) and how good they are at recognizing you and tracking your whereabouts.
