Hi Dimitry,

Yes. When I first wrote this article back in 2016, the technical aspects were more inspired by Android then iOS, since 70% of the smartphones in the world then ran on Android. Things probably has improved lots more now.

Having said that, although I have no specific examples right now some app or the other do end up having bugs whenever either OS is updated. Especially the not so popular ones that may have been ‘abandoned’ by their creator.

You’ve never had any post-OS upgrade issues with your apps, even on iPhone? I remember when iOS 8 first came out it caused lots of issues. What about the latest iOS 11 bugs as covered by this Techradar article? Or these statements in this article:

Apple originally warned users with iOS 10.3 that it will soon drop support for 32-bit apps. With iOS 11, the change is official and any 32-bit apps on your phone will refuse to launch. You’ll instead receive a pop-up notification letting you know the developer needs to release a 64-bit update for it to work.

A common problem users have been experiencing with iOS 11 is their apps freezing or quitting unexpectedly.

I rest my case. <wink>
