Though app stores won’t get a cut, but in the West app stores are dominated by Apple and Google. Even for web apps if they go the Freemium and Premium app models they can still make by being the payment gateway the user goes thru’. Chances are Paypal, Stripe and other online payment players will get into this game for web apps.
