Well, the true blue reporters are struggling to stay alive. Even The Guardian, the bastion of reliable old fashioned investigative reporting, is struggling financially.

The media that thrives are those that promote clickbait and sensationalization. And human nature helps to reinforce that approach as readers react to such news.

It’s a difficult issue that platforms like Medium are trying to overcome so let’s hope more online media championing truth can emerge.
