I’m sure you’ve noticed the much more “commercial” orientation of LinkedIn since MS bought it over.
I think the biggest problem with listed corporations is the pressure to deliver quarter after quarter.
In that regards, often thinking long term and building a high quality product with public good is often sacrificed to the exec’s desire to deliver results to shareholders and be paid handsome stock options.
BTW: There was an ex-LinkedIn staff here who left me a response saying he left LinkedIn after the acquisition to the issue with Groups….
