Yes indeed. With almost all businesses computerized these days and industrial processes increasingly digitized thru’ industrial IoT, a lot of business ideas and models can be derived from the data created by these digital trails.

Disruption will come when data and AI moves beyond collection, analysis and optimization to PREDICTION. To know the history is not enough. To deal with right now is not enough. The true innovation and leap forward will be to know the future and pre-empt it. That will be disruption via cognition.

It shall be exciting to see what the future holds. So many years of digitization has left many companies sitting on goldmines of data.
