Yes indeed. To many Asian bosses meetings are for listening to them and their instructions, not really discussions. Very often if there are discussions at all it is more about them ‘mentoring’ you and explaining to you what works. Although this applies more to the traditional SMEs than the western educated and founded enterprises.
